Hmm. In my opinion, the Internet peaked with the 'Cats that Look Like Hitler'. It's been downhill since then.

It gets crazier when you discover some of the flavours they’ve dabbled with, to make the little fella relevant still over all the years. I wonder if Freddo also holds claim to being the only pineapple flavoured chocolate?
That must’ve been in his down under days still, where he had an offshot, Caramello Koala.
Isn’t the internet amazing?

Freddo is 93 years old.
And originally Australian.
Who’d have thought…

In the early nineties I went out with a girl who drove an ex driving school (dual control) fiesta. We had some fun in the back of that old jalopy.

Oxsaw, few years back I was on a break with the family in York and in their museum they had a Victorian street reenactment with a shop selling barley sugar. So I bought some with me getting about a quarter of a stick whilst my daughters nicked the rest…..wasn’t happy as it was one of the few things that tasted just as good as when I was a kid….

Don't forget the barley sugar and the toffee/chocolate sticks in the jar on the counter of the chemist's shop. 3d.

I’d have guessed around the same.
Years out though.
When I saw how old Freddos actually are, I had the same kind of feeling as I did quite a few years ago, when it was revealed that the original Cheeta from the Tarzan films was still alive, and was the officially oldest recorded chimpanzee in the world.
Not only that, he’d embraced painting in his old age.
And written a book, (which I bought)
When it was revealed as a hoax I felt marginalised and disenfranchised. Not to mention disengaged.
Anyway, Freddos…..

Pretty sure they were around when my kids were very little. I'll guess 28-30 years.

Just looked up Viscount and Taxi biscuits as they were always at Grans when we went around in the 70's and they still do them although not at supermarkets it seems. I do miss the Bleeding Heart Ice Cream dessert at the Berni Inn.
